Slow is Beautiful

Is it worthwhile to plant trees?? Does it matter ??

Some trees grow incredibly slowly, but it all adds up when they grow to maturity.

Teak SeedlingsTake teak for example. Trees4Trees™  planted 170.000 teak trees in 2009.  Growing to full maturity with proper maintenance, they will deliver around 100.000 cubic meters of teak wood after 40 years. At today’s value the market price of the logs will be more than USD25 million.

Providing that the farmers get fair market value for their trees, it will be a significant contribution to the local economy and to household incomes.
